Discovery Insure - bunch of *******

Actually I want to rate them as a -10. My laptop was insured at REPLACEMENT VALUE, then it got ****** out my car via remote signal jamming - have video footage proving the car locked and they entered into my boot 17 min after I walked away.

Replacement quote for the laptop is R1000 less than insured price (ok fine, nothing I can do about it being a bit cheaper now)

Then the claim excess of R1000 - perfectly happy with that as I know that is in my claim policy.

Then they say a further excess of 20, amounting to the amount of R5000 due to it being a car jamming. Even though this excess IS NOT in my policy - My broker combed through my policy 3x prior to loading the claim to make sure.

Their response - Oh well it’s because there’s no proof (yes there is video evidence) and it’s occurring so frequently among their policy holders that it’s now standard! I mean what!!!!!

Then it takes them 24 days to pay out - Not as an iStore voucher as previously communicated.

Now, they paid a further R1100 LESS!

So basically- I pay premium monthly premiums for the item to be covered as REPLACEMENT VALUE and am now out of R8000 - so therefor making my item unaffordable to replace!!!

This is beyond disappointing and frankly quite disgusting!
