Discovery Insure and Proline Express (Sandhurst) Nightmare

I am extremely dissatisfied with the services I have received from Discovery and proline express (Sandhurst) relating to the repair of my vehicle after a collision. Firstly, I was informed that my car has been taken to proline express because the damage is not extensive, hence it requires “express services”, which insinuates that it shouldn’t take too long to repair the vehicle. I am still waiting for my vehicle 3 weeks later, for the so-called “express service”. To make matters worse proline express’s defence is that they inform you that the repairs may take 10 to 15 working days. Considering that the services they render are purported to be “express” and for non-extensive repairs, this is extremely patronising and is used as a tool to gaslight customers when we complain about the poor turnaround time of their services. To make matters even worse, I was informed by discovery 2 weeks after my car has been harboured by proline express because they are awaiting parts for a VW polo (which are so hard to find right?), that I could have asked proline express to have my vehicle back as I wait for parts. This an option that proline express didn’t inform me about, and when I asked them about it, they said it is something they do but avoid doing, but could not account for the circumstances under which they avail that option to customers. The monthly premiums I am paying at discovery are definitely not worth this kind of service, which seems to allow service providers like proline express to have a non-chill ‘ant attitude, with no sense of urgency when repairing clients’ vehicles. This is an absolute no for me and I have definitely started looking at alternative car insurers.
