Discovery Insure and NetAssess

I recently moved over to Discovery Insure, they came highly recommended and so I made the switch.

What a huge mistake, I lodged a claim for my vehicle on the 1st of February 2023, it took them two days just to confirm receipt of my claim and then said their assessor would get hold of me. Which they did two days later, they asked me to take my car in to one of their branches which was 45Km away from me. I then asked is there another way or somewhere closer to me I could take my car, they eventually after numerous calls asking the same question said I could do a self-assess. Why they never gave me this option in the first place, only they will know.

Long story short the assessor their sub-contractor is NetAssess, then asked me to take a series of photos, which I did, only for them to constantly contact me over the next few days requesting i send them the photos, i did this repeatedly...until they acknowledged receipt.

Three days later I got an email, stating my claim was approved and someone would be in contact with me. Needless to say, I waited a week, before once again calling discovery to find out what is going on with my claim...they said they would get back to me, and once again sent a mail saying someone would get hold of me. That never happened, so I called again and again and again, and even sent a letter of complaint. To which I received only and acknowledgement of receipt and nothing else.

It is now the 16th March, and my vehicle is still not repaired, and when I try to call their call center, the call either gets dropped after I enter all my details as requested, or someone picks up chats away to their colleagues in the background and eventually drops the call.

Discovery Insure and NetAssess is a complete and utter waste of time, they are the worst vehicle insurer with the worst service I have ever experienced. I will definitely be changing back to my old insurer once my vehicle eventually gets repaired.

Have your car repaired in 5 days, what utter bull.
