Discovery Insure

I recently made the mistake to move my building and short term insurance to Discovery Insure. I opted for full comprehensive. I recently submitted a claim for my building. There was a tremor in our area, after which I suffered some damage to my house. First, I confirmed with the Council for Geoscience that there was indeed a tremor, and secondly, I had a witness, a neighbor of mine, who confirmed that she experienced the tremor when I mentioned it to her. That was even before I got home and saw the damage. Now the best part is, every time I followed up with Discovery, I spoke to someone else. The claim was "assigned" to a certain person, who never contacted me, and the phone number given was the standard Discovery line where you get to pick a number. When the assessor came out, I unfortunately had to be at work, but I requested to be contacted. The assessor never phoned me. The witness was never contacted. Last week I followed up again, 23 February 2022. Again I spoke to a different person, who gave me the name of another company who will contact me. Still I was not contacted in any way. Monday 28 February 2022 I followed up again, only to be told by the Discovery person that my claim was rejected. Once again, THIS WAS NOT COMMUNICATED TO ME IN ANY WAY, SMS, EMAIL, PHONE CALL, WHATSAPP, NOTHING. The reason for the rejection of the claim was "wear and tear". So the door frame separated from the wall by one centimeter recently, after the tremor, because of wear and tear? I don't understand. How can wear and tear cause a wall and door frame to separate. I am very very disappointed in Discovery Insure and Discovery as a whole. It's a business to save money first and not help their customers. I will cancel my insurance as soon as I have signed up with someone else.
