Discovery Insure

On the 8th October my car was ******. I reported it to Discovery and the police the same day. On the 10th October I was advised that the car was at a particular address in the Western Cape and advised Discovery of this fact. They did not manage to recover the car despite the fact that the car was there until the 12th October. However it was finally recovered three weeks later by Discovery (in and around the same area as advised by me on the 10th. The car was then taken to Auction Notice in Bellville. I went and collected the car on the 25th October. On collection of the car I immediately notified Discovery (with photographs) of the damage done to the car (this damage was VERY evident). This communication was totally ignored (in fact they sent me an e-mail advising me that the claim had been closed off and attached a form detailing the fact, which I was supposed to sign and return. I did not sign the closing of the claim, as the car was clearly damaged and Discovery were advised of the damage on the day I collected the car. I then took the car to a panel beater for a quotation, which I received on the 2nd November. As this was late in the afternoon I submitted the quote to Discovery (via e-mail) on the 5th November. Receipt of the quote was acknowledged by Discovery on the same day. I have now followed up every Monday since then, and to date there has been zero response from Discovery (in fact it would seem that they are ignoring my requests for feedback). They have not had the courtesy to reply to three e-mails from me, and when I raised the issue with the gentleman from Discovery (the chap who recovered the car) that advised me that he would elevate my complaint to a senior advisor. Again there is nothing but silence! This is a disgrace. Surely an organisation, that claims to be professional could at least take the time (e-mails are quite effortless) to keep me informed as to what is going on.
