Discovery Insurance will not pay for claims

They took a week to come send a assessor to have a look on a damaged inverter and they would have been without any electricity for a week and they won't pay any claims so my question is why do you pay for insurance if they don't pay out to the clients any they even says there's water damaged but the inverter is installed in garage with no water leaks
