Discovery Insurance rips off its customers!

I lodged an insurance claim for my vehicle a few months ago and could not remember the date of the accident as it was self inflicted entering my garage. At that stage, I was too busy saving my business from the SA economy to worry about claims, etc. I was asked to go to the panel beaters for a quotation, which they submitted to Discovery for the amount of approx. R 22 500.00. When I heard nothing from them for a number of weeks, I contacted them to find out what was going on. The Person from Discovery sent me a mail a few days later telling me that they had done an assessment and that the value they reached was under R 5000.00, which was my excess amount. This entire interaction then spiraled out of control, when the below average employee at Discovery (Natanya Williams) who got a hair up her **** and accused me of ***** and cancelled my insurance. This was without any evidence and done in a very deceptive manner. I could tell once she sent me the *****ulent claim valuation of under R 5000.00 that she was trying not to pay. Definitely not what I would have expected from Discovery and extremely disappointed. I am cancelling all my insurances with Discovery and will never recommend them to anyone.
