Discovery drops the ball

As has become my annual habit, the anniversary policy provided to Discovery is referred to the Insure Maintenance department for review to reduce the annual increase as much as possible and, as has been the result EVERY year for both my wife and my policies, the annual increase is usually reduced to the minimum based on the policy no claims history and other factors.

However, for this years' rerate, the same procedure was followed, and the anticipated increase was again much less than the (presumably automated) annual increase. I gladly accepted that the lower premium would be deducted the following month. Not so, in stark contrast to SEVERAL years preceding with the same procedure, Mmabohlale Lenong, rep**** via email that a telephone call is required to activate the new quote schedule, resulting in the original higher amount being deducted.

Inconsistencies in the application of policy does not add to customer satisfaction at all and, in fact, add to the frustration and motivation to explore other short term insurance providers with, arguably, better offerings.
