Discovery - Do you record phone calls?
I received a call early on a Tuesday morning from Discovery insure. Where the agent asked to speak to me (Ask for me by my 2nd name). Which was odd.
The agent asked me to confirm my details. And I refused. I wanted to find out why I am being called. So the agent does the whole tape recording of how calls are recorded etc. And finally got to the point where the agent said that my debit order has not gone off. Which was odd because on my bank statement it went off.
The agent then asked for my details, as he said he wanted to make sure everything is in order going forward. So I gave my details. And magically my debit order was seen as successful. The agent gave the exact amount of my car insurance too. Which makes me believe he is legit. The agent then went on and asked about the vitality drive card that I need to swipe...
Right, now just to make 100% sure. I emailed Discovery insure. And asked if they contacted me about outstanding payments for (Policy Nr), from (This number). Just to double check that I was not ****med here. You never know these days.
They get back to me with they cannot disclose this information. But my debit order was successful. So I reply, and all I want to know is that Discovery insure actually called me? As simple as that, yes or no?
Dear lord, listen to this reply: "Thank you for contacting us. Kindly note as per previous mail we unable to confirm if the call was from Discovery. Kindly advise what the call was in regards to?"
How is this possible? How can a big company like Discovery not have measures in place to see if they called me? Do they not record the phone calls then? Am I missing something here?
I am honestly thinking of moving to another insurance, blatantly because of this service. Who knows what happens when I need to claim..
I am not happy with this service one bit.
