Discovery Claims Worst Service ever.
I had an accident on the 16th March just after 20:00 that evening between Heidelberg and Balfour. There were no signal and a guy stopped and we asked him to phone my husband. My husband arrived there about a half an hour later and said that he phoned the panel beater in Heidelberg to come and tow the vehicle. We did not want to be next to the road for very long as there are ******ies and high jackings on the R23. When we left the accident scene, and I had signal I phoned your emergency number and they said that because the vehicle was towed in, I must phone on Thursday morning to lodge the claim. I phoned on Thursday morning and lodged the claim and also went to the police station to open the accident report. We then went through to Safari panel beater and they phoned Discovery while we were there to tell them that they can salvage the vehicle so long and the towing costs can be sorted out later. It is now 16:37 on the 25th March and still my vehicle is not uplifted from Safari panel beaters. All kinds of excuses was given, and I had eventually had to ask Safari to email me the invoice for the tow in as they then started charging storage because the vehicle was still there. I emailed the invoice to Discovery on the 23rd of March. After about 62 calls to Discovery over this week and half period, holding on for up to 40 minutes and many times get cut off, I phoned Auction Nation to enquire about the upliftment of my vehicle. According to them they only received the OK from Discovery this afternoon and said that the vehicle will be uplifted by Monday morning. Then only after that will Discovery send out an assessor to inspect the vehicle. That means that it is then almost 2 weeks since the accident and my vehicle is still not booked out to a panelbeater. I only have a rental vehicle for 30 days, and still did not make use of it as I do not know how long it will take to repair my vehicle. I had to take leave this week but will have to manage to get to work next week. WORST SERVICE EVER FROM A INSURANCE COMPANY
