Discovery claim process is **********
On the 14th of November I got involved in some bumper bashing where I hit another car and my Fender on the left side got damaged. I drove the car home and took it for assessment on the 17th of November and the vehicle had to be stripped so I left it at Carello autobody. soon after that the claim(Claim No: *** ) was reassigned to a different department that deals with immobile vehicles. Isaac Ramarumo was assigned to deal with the investigation (I always find this process very upsetting). I met with Isaac on site to explain to him what happened. he then asked me to supply all my banking records which I did (there wasn't a consent letter presented at that point). on the day of the meeting between me and him which was a sunday the 22nd, he decided to tell me from then that there is no way I am getting my vehicle back this year which already alerted me of the time wasting and incompetence that is likely to follow. He went and spoke to the lady who was involved on the scene, not for the accident per say, but she actually stabbed me after the whole incident and he decided she was to be his key witness in the whole thing. it is important to note that I have a court case open against this women and she is likely to tell Isaac whatever he wants to hear as a form of spiting me. On Monday the 30th he was already ready to hand in report without even interviewing the rest of the people that were there. I was open about my whereabouts prior to the incident happening. I even supp**** tracker reports for this. he even insisted on speaking to my mother and aunt whom I was with that day despite the tracker info telling him exactly where i said I was 2 weeks before supplying the report. he only requested the tracker info only after he was challenged about his early submission and the tone he was already exhibiting on the phone. he finally sent me a consent form to try get my insurance history and the policy holder history after he had already requested all that info from my previous insurer.
he then went and wrote a report recommending rejection of my claim on the grounds that I was under the influence of alcohol. despite NOT finding any evidence on my bank statements suggesting that I bought tons of alcohol. despite been told that I was with my mother that say visiting my aunt (whom both don't know me to drink). tracker backed all this info up. His key witness tried to hold me hostage and police had to be called in order to force her to produce her form of identification for the sake of insurance purposes. Her friends are responsible for the damage on the bonnet which happened after the accident and none of this seem important to the investigator.
I have read a similar report about him on here(hellopeter). He presented bias from the start trying to pin the whole thing on alcohol without any evidence to prove so.
i understand his job is to save you (discovery insure) money. However not at the expense of a client. the whole claim process has been nothing short of draining and irritating to say the least. everything is being tried to NOT process this claim.
I haven't had anybody contact me or my old man. Emails we sent also received very little to no attention.
