Discovery Car Insurance Claim

<p>Four months ago a BMW reversed into my cora utlity 1.4, the brand new BMW was pretty banged up and my bakkie was semi ok, I would say about R4000-R6000 worth of damage to the front right side of the bakkie. So I went to the Bellville police station to make a case and explain what happened. I phoned Discovery and explained what happened and they asked me to go get an assesment on my vehicle, I went early in the morning down to a place in Bellville and got my car looked at, they said they would follow up and send my claim onto Discovery (or Discovery would be in touch with them). 2-3 months past with constant emails saying they are still following up on my claim and are sorting it out. After the 3rd month or so I get an email asking me to please now give Discovery a copy of the police case, so again I went to the bellville police station and asked them for the case but it had already been sent on to filing in head office (Goedwood maybe? I can't recall), also why Discovery didn't ask me for a copy of the case in the first week I have no idea... So again after waiting a few more weeks Discovery decide to open up another case for the same claim to get this resolved, again nothing happens. I then call Discovery and ask why is nothing still happening and the lady on the other side (I didn't get her name) says don't worry things will be resolved by tomorrow! So that was nice to hear but again nothing happens. Another week passes and I send on an email to Tumi Mashinini (the person who has been dealing with the claim) explaining what happened, no response. I phone again today (20 july 2016) and try to restrain my anger as I talk to the one person from the claims department, I explain my fustration to them and all he does is *sigh* and say don't worry it will be done by the end of this week - (we'll see about this). So what else do I need to do now? Go to Discoverys building and beg them to please finish off this claim so I can finally get my bakkie fixed....</p> <p> </p> <p>One more thing, when the accident occured I upgraded my insurance from 3rd party to a better premium. Since doing this 4 months ago I have been charged an extra R600+ per month because of a fault on their side. I called and asked them why this is happening, they said it was a fault with their finincial system and it has now been fixed, they then paid me back for 3 months but again this month I get charged an extra R600 which has not yet been paid back to me.
