Discovery Blames Client for Delays to Hide Its Own Delays and Obfuscation of This Claim

My house flooded in 2024, and my Discovery claim remains unresolved. Instead of taking responsibility for the delay, Discovery, through Brett B., is now suggesting that I delayed the JD vendor process.

That allegation is false and contradicted by the WhatsApp messages.

The WhatsApp history shows that I did not refuse the vendor, did not refuse to cooperate, and did not delay the process. I asked questions to clarify what was happening and waited for Discovery’s vendor to get back to me. Discovery now appears to be treating those questions as if they were obstruction. That is not accurate.

A client is entitled to ask reasonable questions about a claim, especially when their home has flooded and the insurer’s process is unclear. Asking for clarity is not a delay tactic. Waiting for Discovery’s own vendor to respond is not a delay caused by the client.

It is also unfair for Brett B. to rely on his own leave or Discovery’s internal availability issues to imply that I caused delay. Discovery’s staffing, leave arrangements, and vendor communication problems are not my fault and should not be used to create a false narrative against me.

In my view, Discovery is trying to rewrite the timeline to blame me for a claim it has failed to resolve since 2024. The written WhatsApp record does not support Brett B.’s version. It shows a client asking reasonable questions and waiting for Discovery’s vendor, not a client refusing or delaying the process.

Discovery should correct the record, stop mischaracterising my WhatsApp messages, and resolve the claim.

Is blaming a customer with no facts, ethical, honest and fair? And how Is it acceptable.

Discovery will do nothing about this and ignore this message as proven over the last 2 years

I requested formal position from Brett B on letter head for accountability and transparency BUT it was refused and the customer was AGAIN blamed for delaying the claim (ironic)
The lack of accountability is worrying.
And a claims "manager" who is legal background is not impartial in assessing a claim either and is prejudicial to the customer.
FURTHER the lack of ability to escalate to accountable managers is alarming.
Ignoring my broker is even worse, but Brett B claims thats a lie (backup up with proof and he still calls client a ****)

brett B told me today if i want X to happen I must 1st sign the offer document (while he know there are outstanding items) and forces me to live with moldy flooded waste longer if i refuse. Punnishing my fmaily more who now have a mass of mold related health issues

********* and manipulative.

Sad thing is Discovery and Brett B are more focused on building a *****ulent case of me delaying the cliam than they are to resolve it. 2024 they ignored me for months. and the Broker but hide this fact by blaming me

I know discovery will protect staff as usual and no nothing about this and have zero accountability
