Disappointing conduct

I am writing this review with utter disappointment. My contract with Discovery insure was cancelled last year in August if I'm not mistaken. I have not been with them for a while now and to my surprise last week I received a notice from the credit bureau that the account status has been updated as "defaulted". I don't understand why they would do that and tarnish my credit record. Insurance companies normally terminate a contract IMMEDIATELY when the don't receive payments. I am disgusted at this considering I have not been with them for almost a year now.
