Deducting point and reduced benefits

Discovery Insure states that up to 50% of fuel spend can be received back on monthly basis.

Truth is all benefits are based on your monthly points. How good you drive on daily basis, your claim free period, distance drive and nightly drive time can count against you (points deducted). Based on these points you are Blue, Silver, Gold or Diamond status on monthly basis.

Based on this status you get monthly money back or you can accumulate it in your Insure Funder Account, but you benefit in using this accumulated funds which should be yours, are also based on your monthly points. Therefore you are penalized if you points are too low for that month in which you want to use these accumulated funds.

Be careful. They are very strict and accumulating points is a ****. They don't give your accurate points and give you speeding violations not just if you go 1km/h over the speed limit, but also if they have the road speed limits wrong. I had points deducted if I was driving in 70km/h in 80 zone as they according to their system there was somewhere a 20km/h zone. Also if you contact them and point this out to them with evidence they take ages to get back to you. Therefore the customer gets penalized and you don't get the benefit as stated.
