Deceptive Regarding Payment Turnaround Times
I am absolutely disgusted how Discovery Insure have handled my third party claim! Their client crashed into me at the beginning of November already, and I have STILL not been paid out for my third party claim. They are very deceptive regarding turnaround time for payouts etc. I signed the settlement offer last week Wednesday and was under the impression that I would receive payment this week. However, I found out this morning that the finance department will only release my payment by next week Wednesday!
On the documents I received from Discovery Insure, it specifies that it takes up to 30 working days for the third party claim to be finalized after documentation has been received. The 30 working days was last week Monday. Nowhere does it state that AFTER that, it takes an ADDITIONAL 10 working days for the payment to be released! How is it that I have to bear the brunt of this???
This is unacceptable. I will never join Discovery Insure. STAY AWAY!
We note that once a 3rd party signs the release form and sends it back to us. Payment will be effected within 15 working days and that once effected the payment will take 5 working days too reflect.
Based on our findings, your singed document, which contains the above extract, was received on the 16th Jan 2019.
We advise that we are within our Turn Around Time and payment has been processed.
Please check against your account with the next 7 to 10 working days latest.
