Debit order *****

I have joined Discovery Insure on 1 July 2020. My first debit order went off as well as expected. However another debit order for R300 also went off my account for Discovery Insure. I phoned the call centre on 2 July to enquire about the amount (that is not disclosed in my policy document nor mentioned to me by the sales person). So call centre agent went on about about the fact that I chose Vitality drive and it comes with an activation fee, and that I can choose to cancel it. I went on to explain to this person that I am not unhappy about paying an activation fee but I would like to be informed about this during the sales call as well as the amount that will be debited. I told the agent that I was unhappy about how this was handled and that I wanted to cancel my policy. He transferred me to the retentions department. I spoke to a lady who also explained the activation fee but once again missing the point. She mentioned to me that the activation fee is R150, whereas I was debited for R300. She promised to take it up with finance and give me a call by 10:00 on 3 July 2020. That has still not happened. I'm reversing the debit order for R300 until I get an answer. I am very unhappy with the service levels so far. I will never recommend Discovery Insure to anyone. Luckily there a number of other insurers to choose from. :)

Good day.

This morning I saw that R150 has been returned to my bank account. What happened to the other R150?

Kind Regards
