Customer service does not exist here, at all.

In light of a two month long claim process for Guinea fowl damages to my car, feedback regarding my claim remains a head ache.

I am not a satisfied customer.

I enquired on 23 October 2015, about the fog light and why it has been excluded from my claim approval. I enquired from the assessor who handled my assessment, as well as to the consultant handling my claim. No one responded, no feedback was given, no email, no phone call, no update on the discovery insure portal about a claim query, nothing.

After explaining to every single consultant last week that I need to have my car back by Friday, no one even tried to solve the matter, just as nothing happened since the first query.

I had to go out of my way entirely to get another assessment booked for damage which occurred all at once. I had to re-explain the whole situation to more than 5 consultants. I had to follow up daily due to no feedback received, not by me, nor the panel beaters approved by Discovery Insure. The extra assessment happened yesterday morning at 08:00. Neither I nor the approved panel beaters have been made aware of the final decision.

I am still awaiting feedback on my claim, and the query.

Hello almi.vanwyk,

At Discovery Insure we strive to satisfy our customers in every interaction and apologise that this has not been your experience.

I have been informed that the claim's second assessment report has been handed in and the fog light will be replaced. Contact will be made with you shortly to make proper arrangements so you may bring the vehicle in.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the delayed and poor service experienced as this is not at the standard aimed for our policyholders.

Regards
Sekgobola
