Claims free years bonus impacted for preventive windshield fix

<p>Most insurance companies want to see if you made any claims and you lose your no claim bonus if you claim for an accident. However most companies also see windshield chip reparis as preventative and will pay the R300 without impacting you no claim bonus year, but not Discovery Insure. If you claim for windshield chip repairs, your number of claims in incremented on the policy statment and shown as a claim. This means that other inurers will set you back 0 for your claim free years. </p> <p>To top it off, and add insult to injury. When I requested a letter to say that the repair was simply a windield chip repair, they would not issue me that letter.</p> <p> </p> <p>So be careful!! You may end up not being able to leave Discovery if you claim for small things like chip repair. </p> <p> </p> <p>Very unhappy.</p>
