Claim taking too long to be completed.
i put in a claim for accidental damage on my kids TV, on the 17th of May, approval was on 19 May. Great stuff! No, nothing has happened ever since. i am told to wait for vouchers via sms for Takealot. in the mean time takealot has hiked the TV price. so what do we do now?
When its debit order time, Discovery works like clock work, they collect. my end of the deal is met. I have a situation and claim, takes over 2 weeks to sort out replacement of the cheapest TV in South Africa.
Very disappointed in the service. I am not interested in small talk. I just need you to do what you said you will do and we all move on with life.

30 May 2023, 16:43just an update, Discovery had previously communicated that they would send me a voucher to buy the replacement TV on Takealot. at the time, the TV was on special and a value was set on the special price of the TV. i was fine with that on the understanding that the voucher would be timeously sent to me to replace the TV.
Discovery after my post decided they would now deposit cash into my account to the value of the special price and not what the actual value is. while the difference is only a R100, its very annoying to work with people who are very disorganised. My kids have gone for weeks without their TV.
All along i had the comfort of being covered not knowing what awaits when i need to claim. To think i have car insurance, household, medical aid and a life policy with Discovery spending almost R12k a month for everything, i would just get what they contractually agreed to cover. I am so disappointed in the service.

Discovery after my post decided they would now deposit cash into my account to the value of the special price and not what the actual value is. while the difference is only a R100, its very annoying to work with people who are very disorganised. My kids have gone for weeks without their TV.
