My daughter's vehicle was ****** end of October. ***. We are now almost mid December and are still waiting for Discovery Insure to finalize the claim. They are not answering the phone calls she's making to them. Although they said they are going to settle the outstanding vehicle finance and pay out the difference on the 29the of Nov it's been a week later. She provided them with a settlement letter, A week later and no response. Cannot believe one claim can take over a month.

06 Dec 2021, 08:28Thanks you for your response but all we are getting every time is an apology and no actual service on resolving this claim. It's been extremely frustrating and not a good reflection at all on your customer service. It's unacceptable that people have to wait more than a month and struggle to get hold of the insurer when they have paid their monthly instalments on time every month.

It's been extremely frustrating and not a good reflection at all on your customer service. It's unacceptable that people have to wait more than a month and struggle to get hold of the insurer when they have paid their monthly instalments on time every month.

06 Dec 2021, 10:47Good day Mariana, it is regrettable the manner in which the claim was handled and we do sincerely apologise for this. The payment has been released to the banking institution and the remaining amount has been released to the policy holder.
The delays experienced have been raised with the consultant responsible and swift action will be taken.

06 Dec 2021, 12:20Thank you for your feedback, appreciate. I must add with Discovery medical we have not issues at all their services are excellent. I do not know why Discovery insure cannot provide the same excellent service. We ourselves have been insured with Santam for years and honestly they have the best service ever. They have process our claims we had in the past asap and total repairs was done within 2 weeks and claims closed. Both my children are with Discovery Insure and I must say the claims process takes extremely long.
