Buyer beware, premiums could be empty promises.

My car insurance premium increased by almost 70% over night(over R1000). When I enquired how this is possible I was told that a consultant was manipulating their system to offer lower premiums to Discovery clients. I left my long term insurer to go over to Discovery, this feels like it should not be a me problem or allowed, it seems like I was coerced into joining with them only to be told the premiums will almost double 3 months later
