Bullying tactics by Discovery

In November 2020 I lodged a claim with Discovery after a massive hail storm in Pietermaritzburg. Other houses in the Montrose area in which I reside experienced damages approaching the million rand amount. After numerous emails including request for management to assist, we were finally allocated an assessor in March 2021, having already been told the claim had been approved in full for R109059.10 Only then did the assessor Emile *** go to site and we then received an AOL for R86737.60. We were verbally informed by Emile that the roof repair amount had be slashed by 77.81%. The amount claimed had been R28685.60 and only R6364.60 was approved. This is appalling as the building team had done the repair in the rain to eliminate further serious damage which could have been both interior and exterior. In addition, had this not been undertaken as speedily, then Discovery would have needed to source imperial tiles for the whole roof . Subsequent to this Discovery will not entertain our objection and who are referring us to Emile who is uncontactable both via email as well as telephonically. This can all be supported with paperwork
