Better at ducking than Floyd Mayweather

On the 6th of July a Discovery insured driver crashed into my car parked outside my house. Fortunately, no one was injured but their client hit my car so hard the vehicle was moved two full parking spaces and ended up sideways blocking a garage. It’s the 21th of July and the wrecked vehicle is still on the same street despite daily emails and calls to Discovery. It was too damaged to move, I needed to pay for a company to come out and put it back in a parking bay so that my neighbour’s garage was not blocked. Discovery will not pay to tow it, nor will they pay for a rental vehicle for me. Every morning I walk past the wreck to the bus stop or my Uber. It took four days for them to send out an assessor, but their client’s car was put on a flatbed the very next day. It took four days for them to process the assessor’s findings. Their consultant, Nonhlanhla S does not reply to emails, she does not respond to messages, or return any of my calls. How is it fair that their client can destroy my vehicle and they do nothing for more than two weeks to move forward even though everyone agrees they are responsible, and their client is at fault? Add to this that they have **** and blamed their client for not releasing documents. However, when I called the gentleman’s broker to ask what was taking so long, he was the one who was shocked. He sent me an email with a timestamp showing he’d sent everything they required within hours of their request, and yet they have the audacity to blame their client for my part of the claim not being processed. Who knows how long it’ll take for Discovery to stop ducking this valid claim? Add to this the time it’ll take to repair the vehicle. At this rate it could be months before I have working vehicle and I am expected to pay for these additional transport costs or to claim from my insurance and pay an 8000 rand excess for an accident that had nothing to do with me.
