Bad Service after double debitting

The email below was sent to Discovery on 14th Sept, not only was was there no response but my account was debited again this month:

Last month I added another car on my existing policy, number ********** 760, effective from 1st September 2016 as my old policy was due to expire on 31st August. I was informed that told that there is a once off fee of R150 for a discovery app activation. Even though I only get paid on 1st of every month I made that amount available and it was successfully debited on the 25th August, I have attached my statement for your reference. I then noticed that Discovery insure attempted to debit the same amount again on 31st August and that attracted a fee of R145.00 as there were insufficient funds for that. Secondly, I noticed that instead of the 1st as I had requested the policy was made effective from 31st August and I phoned in to try and correct the mistake but was told the should not be any difference for that one day but an attempt was then made to debit an amount of R39.58 from my account on the 31st, which similarly attracted another R145.00 penalty.Besides the fact that I now had to pay R290 in penalty for mistakes that were not of my own making, I’m now sitting with a bank record that shows returned debits because of insufficient fund, not a good reflection on my part. I need to have these problems resolved.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention and appreciate the time afforded.

As discussed, please ignore the email response you received on the reasons for the multiple activation fees charged to your account. I will discuss the concerns relating to the error with our finance team and revert tomorrow as promised.

Once again we apologise for the frustration experienced.
