Appalling service!

I was in a bumper bashing on 16th March, registered my claim with Discovery Insure the same day. Took car to NetAssist Assessors. They walked around the car and took a few pictures, that's all. Received e-mail regarding claim repair on the 24th March. Car still under warranty, so must be VW approved panelbeater. Phoned panel beaters - they can help me the 23rd of May!!!! A waiting period of 2 months! Back to Discovery the same day requesting another panelbeater. E-mail received on the 27th March with a panelbeater in Pta Central (after specifically telling them I'm staying in Centurion and would like a panelbeater in Centurion). Back to Discovery again on the 28th. They promised me an e-mail feedback - nothing received. Back to Discovery again on the 30th. They promised me an e-mail feedback - nothing received. Back to Discovery again on the 3rd April, demanding a manager. I was told Ganyane would phone me back, I'm still waiting, nothing to date. Back to Discovery again on the 4th, demanding another manager. Still waiting. Phoned the afternoon again, consultant told me there is a panelbeater in Centurion that could assist on the 10th, but they will pay me out as the panelbeater is not VW approved. After trying to explain to her 4x times that this would violate my warranty, I simply gave up and demanded a senior manager. No response yet. Back to Discovery again on the 5th, eventually spoke to Bianca. She assisted with a panel beater in Centurion that is VW approved and could assist on the 10th. Promised confirmation e-mail. Nothing received. Back to Discovery again on the 6th, demanding e-mail response. Eventually received response and booked my car in.

BUT still, not the end to this terrible saga...

My plan include car hire. So I phoned on the 6th again to arrange my car hire. Only to be told that I need to pay AVIS Car Rental an amount of R1200-00 when picking up my hire car!!!!!!! That is nowhere stated in my policy. Back to Discovery again on the 7th. Spoke to Bianca again after 3 different phone calls. Questioned her about the car rental deposit. Yes she rep****, it is in the fine print of my policy!!! Well sorry, I've been through my policy with a magnifying glass and still could not find such fine print. So I cancel the hire car because I simply don't have R1200-00 lying around somewhere.

Decided to take my car to my VW dealership. They quickly assessed my car and told me that the damage seemed to be much more extensive than the R4000-00 the assessors made it out to be. So I booked my car in at the dealership who will actually now lift my car up and assess it from the inside and bottom as well (not only a few pictures from the front). Back to Discovery again to cancel my booking at the panelbeaters for Monday 10th. Told them about booking in at the dealership and a second quotation. They told me they would only accept it if it is a reasonable price!!!!!! Reasonable compared to what???? We're talking about a dealership here compared to some or other panel beater. So who is actually more trained in assessing a genuine VW?

All my time and money and effort wasted for an entire week, spending how many hours on the phone.

I actually told Bianca that I'm just finishing off this claim and then I'm going to move my insurance - and guess what, she said it was okay!!! So obviously, Discovery Insuree is not interested in my business or keeping me happy as a customer. So I am also not interested in them anymore...

Can't wait to move to somebody that acually understands the word SERVICE DELIVERY...
