appaling customer services by Discovery insurance

I was hijacked on the 30th of January 2018 and reported the matter to my insurance the next morning (this is after receiving the case number from the police). Today is the 01 March 2018 - a month later and the car hired must be returned back in no time. The claim is still not concluded upon - when I call the call centre; I am given all sorts of reasons - to the extend that my calls are cut for no apparent reason and I must call back and explain my self over and over again. I have made too many calls and am completely dissatisfied with the service received thus far.

How can I be assisted?

After my post, I got a call from Discovery and they assured me that this matter would be resolved by now. As a result of this very delay, my car hire was extended until the 08th which is tomorrow. I am still awaiting for the insurance to conclude on this matter. This means I will be car less as of tomorrow should I return the car as I was told - I choose to defy that. I will not be without a car as I will not return the car and that will be on Discovery's cost. Why does the insurance find it easy to deduct money from our accounts but when a claim is made; you are made to feel as if you are begging the insurance to render a service. I find this to be totally unacceptable and cannot without hesitation recommend Discovery to any other person needing insurance. I will not return the car to the car rental company. I cannot help but wonder if white people are given the same runabout or the colour of the skin plays a role. I am really disappointed at the services received from Discovery and will think twice about my future cover. I have provided the insurance with 3 settlement letters to date. I had to call today to be told that i need to obtain the 4th settlement letter from the bank. Had i not called the insurer, what would have happened? When were they going to notify me of what they require. I suggest that they make a judgement given what was previously submitted and make a call. If it means engaging the bank directly; so be it. I refuse to make one extra call for the same purpose - I take no responsibility of the inefficiency of those dealing with this matter nor the processes in place to get to the conclusion of such.
