All's well that ends well

I'd just changed over the Discovery Insure coincidentally at the same time that I purchased a new car. I will say that although installing the DQ tracker does suck some of the joy out of driving, it has definitely made me a safer driver. I had been driving around like miss Daisy since having it put in. So I was devasted when some fool rear-ended me at a yield sign. I really really loved my new car, which had been well-looked after by the previous owner and is definitely a future classic (13 years old, and hard to find a car of that age in such good condition). I called Discovery and the tow truck got there within a reasonable time, and also gave me a lift home. Upon speaking to Discovery, I asked that my car be taken to a Mercedes-approved repair place (rather than the place they had intended) for my peace of mind. I knew Renew-it was such a place, and that they deal with Discovery. They obliged, to my relief. I also had a bit of a dispute about the original assessor's report and wanted the car more thoroughly examined, which they also agreed to. I got the hire car included in my plan, and drove around in relative comfort until getting my car back, restored to its former glory. The process took a little while, and there were a few delays and a bit of nagging by me, but it has worked out well in the end. They also waived my excess since the accident was not my fault! A great advantage over other insurers in my view. And the petrol rewards are very worthwhile. On the whole, a good experience. (and I had only been with them for a month)
