Accident Claim NIGHTMARE!

<p>I was involved in an accident last year with two other vehicles.</p> <p> </p> <p>My initial claim was submitted a few days after the accident had happened however, Discovery Insure dragged on for months before closing the matter off. In the process I was still paying for a car that was written off up until they decided to pay out.</p> <p> </p> <p>Months went by and recently, the owner of vehicle that I bumped into in the accident has now resurfaced saying that my insurance has not paid out and are giving him the run around and he now wants me to take responsibility for this.</p> <p>When I was in the final stages of my claim, the call centre agent advised me that the other party or his / her insurer would need to get in touch with them to start the third party liability claim process. I instructed them to do so and left it to the other party and my insurer.</p> <p> </p> <p>To my shock I am now being held liable (in my personal capacity) for something I had reported to my insurer to deal with.</p> <p> </p> <p>I do not understand how this insurer is rated one of the best in South Africa when they handle claims so POORLY!</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
