Accident Claim & 3rd party claim

On the 28th of September 2017 I was involved in an accident when a Taxi Driver cut right in front of me it was not serious and I was still able to use my vehicle. I made a claim with Discovery I was informed to take my vehicle to the Panel Shop for a quote which I did on the 26th of October . Claim No: ********** , Policy: ********** 658. I was then informed that the panel shop that did my quote was too busy and I have to take my car to other panel shop of the repair this info was sent via email on the 3rd of November, so I called the lady who was attending to my claim and was told to wait for the second panel shop to re-quote, although the claim was authorized. I was not called by the second panel shop for them to view my car so they can re-quote. During this period I was then involved in another accident were a guy drove straight into my car. Which would be a 3rd party claim as it no fault of mine. This time the car had to be towed away. The assessor then quoted for the 1st accident and the second accident together and due to the repair cost they wanted to write my vehicle off. I was never called by any consultant to explain what the process was and the outcome of the assessors report but Discovery Insure consultants continue to send me emails to sign the write off papers. To date I still don't have me car it's been at the collision yard from the 13th of November I was never offer a hired car although it's included in my policy. My next step is to take this matter to court. I regret moving to Discovery Insure

Thank you for taking my call.

As discussed I have organised the car hire with Avis please expect their call shortly.

And lastly I have asked the assessors to revise the assessment report and revert once amounts are recalculated.
