2 Years since flood and ignored because I reported to Oumbudsman STILL Being ignored

I am raising this publicly because all reasonable attempts to resolve this directly with Discovery have failed.

I have an insurance claim that has now been open for over two years, and the most concerning issue is Discovery’s complete failure to communicate.

Multiple emails have been sent regarding this claim. Not one has been acknowledged. Not even a basic confirmation of receipt.

To be clear:

I have formally requested acknowledgment of my emails on at least three separate occasions These requests have been ignored each time There has been no response, no update, and no accountability

This is not slow service. This is a complete breakdown in communication and basic client care.

It is unacceptable for an insurer to:

Leave a claim unresolved for this length of time Ignore repeated written communication Fail to acknowledge client correspondence entirely

At a minimum, any professional organisation should:

Acknowledge receipt of communication Provide a response or reference number Engage with the client in good faith

Discovery has done none of the above.

The lack of acknowledgment means there is no accountability, no audit trail, and no indication that this claim is being properly handled.

I now require the following from Discovery:

Immediate acknowledgment of all outstanding correspondence A clear and current status update on the claim Escalation of this matter to senior staff who will actively engage and take responsibility A named contact person accountable for resolving this matter

Discovery must act with accountability and ensure this claim is handled by someone who will not ignore client communication.

This situation requires urgent attention and proper oversight.

Ignoring because I escalated this to ombudsman is victimization and goes against the rules and laws for your insurance cover
