1 Year 3 claims resolved with no hassles

People say that insurance is just an expensive and unnecessary , a way of giving away your money to someone else for that “what if something happens “

Well we have had a few of those "what If days…" Last year in March 2018 my husband was involved in a car accident along with 11 other cars, a truck and a bus .He and the other drivers were standing still on the hi-way waiting patiently for a accident scene to be cleared when the truck driver came speeding into them smashing his car into the car in front and into the side of the bus …the truck came to a standstill after wreaking the other cars and driving over one of the vehicles, luckily no one was seriously injured. Seconds after the impact my husband was called and assisted by the Discovery call canter, they dispatched all relative emergency services as well as the towing company …he was constantly asked if he was okay and supported during this traumatic event .He was even offer counseling from discovery .

Our car was unfortunately deemed irreparable and written off .A few weeks later we were paid out for the retail value of the car and was able to buy a new car and this with no excess amount as per our policy .

This was due to having an awesome broker team that assisted us step by step throughout the processes and the helpful staff from Discovery insure. On the 25th of December our 1 year old took my phone from the table next to me and threw it the water fountain…the joys of parenthood… never the less my claim was logged and I received my phone back repaired.

This year (2019) started off with a bang when we were smashed and grabbed at an intersection .A ******** smashed my husband driver’s window and stole his phone out of the cradle, once again our discovery support team logged our claim and followed through and he was paid out for his phone to replace the ****** one.

Within less than 12 months we had 3 claims all 3 resolved and with no hassles. Thank you to the supper heroes Riaan Van der Merwe and His team and also Discovery for always giving us our money’s worth and being there for us in our moments of despair.
