You will die before getting helped by Discovery Meedical Aid

I was diagnosed with lung cancer at the beginning of September after having a chest x-ray. I saw an Oncologist mid Sept who sent me for a Fine Needle Biopsy and a PET C/T scan, and all these tests and scans were authorized by Discovery. The Oncologist has sent an authorization through to Discovery for a 6 week course of radiation therapy and they have refused to pay even though I have a R250,000 oncology benefit. I have sent through at least 10 emails querying this and my Oncologist has sent a motivation and we have not received an answer. So if you are thinking of changing to Discovery in the new year, you should look for another health provider
