You welcomed me to the Oncology Program

Hello Discovery,<br> <br> You paid for my surgery put didn't pay for my leaving script. You sent me marvelous letters of welcome to both my radiation and chemotherapy programs. I enthused to my friends about my wonderful medical aid. You paid for my PET scan. I was over the moon.<br> And then you stopped. You are paying the agreed amounts to the radiologists but for some reason can't find your way clear to pay my oncologist. They had just billed me for R26000. I spoke to a sweetie last week (Anneke) who promised me you would do so as well as all my oncology related medicines. You had not yet. Spoke to Leeshay a week later who muttered about meetings having to decide to pay my oncology approved list painkiller. How long does it take them to make these decisions? Apparently three days. I have been waiting for a month now. Even your call center staff can't explain you to us. <br> So I am another R2000 out of pocket over and above the R2000 I spent on chronic. You don't seem to understand your own Oncology program which looks so good on paper. The only win for me. I get to save on food as I can't afford the medicine that calms my esophagus to enable me to eat. Thin is always fashionable - nicht war?
