Worst Medical Scheme

<p>I am on the 2nd highest/best medical plan of Discovery It cost a few thousand rand per month and you except better service. The operation I had to undergo was approved by Discovery. That was June. We had to pay a large amount - R36000 - to the surgeon before the operation with the promise that Disvcovery will refund us. We borrowed the money. After many phone calls and promises from Discovery ..almost 2 months... Discovery does not deliver on their promises of paying us back R26000. The operation was very traumatic, because I had to go back for a second emergency operation and now Discovery add to this trauma, leaving us in very bad financial situation. My monthly payment to them is always on time. We phoned them between 20-30 times with promises that seems like lies. 2 months has gone by This is the worst medical firm we have experience. We are desperate and need to pay the borrowed money back that Discovery promise to pay us in 5 days.. It is 2 months now. I am telling every friend I know to be careful for this firm and want to do it here also.</p>
