Worst medical aid out there

In 2017, as a doctor, I saw a patient die in front of me in state care. She was young, hiv positive, kidney failure, receiving dialysis in private. However for the first month, she was unable to pay her medical aid and her account was suspended. She presented to state care. However due to her comorbidites and the extensive waiting lists in state care, she did not qualify for dialysis. Discovery refused to make any payment arrangement for her although she was a good payer. She died in front of me. Now it's 2023, I have made the error of being on discovery since 2021. We have been good payers. But when asked discovery if we can make a payment arrangement for the 15th of this month, no payment arrangement can be made. They do not offer this. I have been insured my pps, policies with santam, cover with Aon, and discovery is the only institution that will not offer a payment arrangement. Proof that big cooperation have no interest in their clients. Yes, we will migrate, but I should have taken heed at the warning in front of me when I worked in 2019. I do not recommend this medical aid for anyone out there. Because sometimes life does go wrong, and discovery is not the medical aid that will assist.
