Worst medical aid in South Africa

If I could give Discovery a zero star rating I would. I started my medical aid plan in July. The Discovery health app kicked me out for a total of 3 months payments before I could access my profile and scheme. In October I ended up in the hospital. The hospital told me to pay R500 as a co-payment. I paid the R500 thinking that is the only payment for the in network hospital as Garden city.

More than a month later the hospital sent me the outstanding bills that said that my plan didn't want to cover most of the costs. When I needed to get OTC meds the medical aid didn't want to cover it. When I had to go see a specialist after a in network doctor gave me a referral to a in network specialist,the medical aid didn't want to pay anything. In this time I had a broker who was supposed to help me with everything. She didn't do her job after she got paid commission every single month. When I had to do a medical procedure the medical aid did not cover the procedure which was medically necessary. I am extremely unhappy with the service that I have received. If I can learn anything from this experience it would be to not recommend Discovery to anyone. Discovery is a medical aid that just wants to take the money and do absolutely ****ing nothing. Worst medical aid service ever.
