Worst medical aid experience ever.

My dad was admitted to Westville Hospital on 13 January, discharged still unwell, and rushed back to trauma on 26 January. Discovery’s on-site medical aid representative declined admission, claiming it was a pre-existing condition.

The attending doctor personally explained that it was not pre-existing, but the representative was rude and said, “That is my final decision,” refusing to reconsider.

In an emergency, this kind of attitude is unacceptable. Discovery clearly does not care when it matters most. I urge people to seriously rethink their options.
