Worst Medical Aid EVER!!!

In November last year I had a huge abscess in my sinus that needed to be removed surgically before it caused any further damage to my sinus and teeth.This was a procedure that had to be done in hospital. I immediately contact Discovery after meeting the dentist to confirm which Maxillo Facial Surgeon I should contact.. I was told by Discovery to contact Wilgeheuwel or Fourways for an appointment. I arranged an appointment at Fourways . I hade to pay all fees for the consultation as well as the surgery upfront. I called Discovery with all reference numbers and procedure codes given to me for Authorisation. I was informed that all procedure codes were covered in full under my package and was given AUTHORISATION to have the procedure done. I had the procedure a few days later as it could not wait. After for a few days I submitting all my invoices/slips that I had paid for.I was informed that Discovery was not going to refund me as it's deemed a dental procedure/elective surgery. I spent R33000 with Discovery in 2014 and still had to pay R11000 for op only to fight for months to get only R2300. I cancelled due to this. Now they want the R2300 back! You have some nerve DISCOVERY!!!!!
