Why I'm not joining Discovery
We are currently Fedhealth members and would like to move over to Discovery, however, to our dismay were advised that we would be double debited by both Fedhealth and Discovery on the 1st April 2015. This is apparently because we are joining Discovery in our private capacity, which to me, means from all the medical aids out there, we are choosing to join Discovery Health, yet they are unwilling to allow us to be debited at the end of the month. I don't have R6000 waiting to spend in a month only on medical aid. This is nothing more than a deterrent to stick with Fedhealth.

Whilst we understand your situation, we unfortunately cannot change your billing method from Advance to Arrears. This is a Scheme rule and must be adhered to, in order to be fair to all members who have joined the Scheme. This is a risk management tool in place to ensure the long term sustainability of the Scheme.
I am sorry I could not provide you with a different outcome to your query however it is in line with the Scheme rules.
