Why have Discovery medical aid if they cant assist you

So I was having unbearable abdominal pains at night and I decided to go to the hospital so I Went to the hospital they couldn't help me they said I have to go to the DR first since my medical aid does not have savings or I must pay from my pocket.. I mean I joined this medical aid in August 2017 and I have never been to hospital before. so I went to the GP and he suggested that I must go to the hospital since I have ovarian cyst and its bad we tried to call my network hospitals but they couldn't help me because of my medical aid does not cover .so I had to call the call center and they said I need authorization to go to the hospital. I gave them the code from the DR they said no I have to go to the specialist, I mean i'm paying ****en R1750 for my medical aid why do I have to go and pay the Gynecologist from my pocket? Now they all of a sudden i'm owing R600 and something for the Lab and the DR because they only pay for Consultation fee they do not pay any test done by lab or DR....I mean clearly my medical aid does not cover anything.. they only pay claims of R306.. the rest I have to pay.. and the sad thing is that when I start joining this ***** scheam called Discovery I did ask the guy who was helping me if I can go to hospital at anytime and he said yes he never explain anything about authorization nywe nywee nywee he never explained that my medical aid does not cover medical test .. so now they are making it my fault but they are the one who sold me dreams , I mean with the money i'm paying I can get better medical aid that can cover all my needs because now i'm not getting any help and the ovarian cyst keeps on growing and i'm scared what if it can turn into something else and its so painful yet i'm paying so much to the medical that's not helping me..
