Why Am I on Discovery if They Cannot Pay for my Doctor's Visit?

On the 8th of Oct 2018, I fell ill and went to see the doctor – Dr Brown at Intercare. I saw the doctor, had an ECG, and got some medicine. After this, I was told that my medical aid will not cover this. This has come as quite a shock to me now, as the question comes to my mind is.. WHY AM I ON MEDICAL AID IF MY MEDICAL AID CANNOT ASSIST ME WITH A SMALL VISIT TO THE DOCTOR?? The total cost for this Doctor’s visit is now over R800!!
