What's the point of having medical aid if I can't use it when i need it?

Yesterday at 1am I had to go to the ER after I had sustained an injury that required stiches. Today i receive an invoice from the Drs saying theres a balance due by me because the savings had been used up and Discovery only paid what was left from the savings... This was an emergency that was treated inside the hospital mind you (surely the hospital benefit which they brag so loundly about should cover this). The excuse i received from them for not taking the amount from the hospital benefit was that i was not allocated a bed to spend the night. they only cover under that benefit if i spend the night. what nonsense is this? so it clearly would've benefited me more if i had pretended that i was in no condition to drive home and asked the hospital to allocate me an overnight bed. This scheme is overrated!!!
