Whats the point
I dislocated my shoulder in 2006 now it keeps popping out now an then, i went to a Doctor an they did a CT scan which showed that I have a fractured bone which needs an op. So they send a claim to discovery so they can do an op on 22nd of January 2016 and they declined it. I called them back an i was advised that starting from this month the plan I'm using which is Key-care plus does not cover shoulder op any more or related ops.

the question I asked is that why is there categories with the salaries that customer can only afford key-care plan but still cant have important medical treatment, because to me its like am paying a thousand rand to get medication like PANADOS an get treated for colds & flu only basically that's what I'm paying thousand rand for. why give me an authorization number to go see the specialist if they not going to allow me to the op.

I mean why let me go all the trouble in the end I'm not going to be assist, already the Dr scheduled to an op on the 22nd then when the procedure needs to be done then they advised that they can not cover.

Does this mean I have to go do the op at the public hospital but I tell me my self that I have a medical aid.
Thank you for your comment.
As discussed on your chosen plan type knee and shoulder surgery are exclusions. If the surgery is related to a Prescribed Minimum Benefit (PMB) condition, it will be covered accordingly.
I do understand that this is not the outcome you had hoped for however it is in line with the Scheme rules.
