Whatever happened to the Discovery I once knew

Vicky Maoko ********** Jun 3 (10 days ago) to healthinfo Once again your inconsistency is concerning, your integrity is questionable and your actions match that of a ********* - I am even scared at the fact that I still respond to your correspondences!

1st you said I claimed more than I contributed - I asked you for my claims and contributions records, you are not coming forth with contributions records? If you do not have records how do you know if I even paid at all... I know I was contributing at least R5000 per month!

In another mail you said the debt is due to the fact that I claimed after I had withdrawn - I know that this is incorrect, I wouldn't ask you for proof but still the claims records that you sent me does not have any claim entry with a date stamp post 30 April...

Like I said in my 2nd response on the 1st of June I'd like to pay but your behaviour, inconsistency, illogic unreasonable reasoning leaves me with no reason to believe your motives and to engage with you any further!

Sorry I gave you enough time to state your case and you continued wasting my time and gave me all the reasons to believe that you are trying to de***** me

Good bye

Actually, nevermind - I have been de*****ed one too many times! To continue engaging with you and giving you further opportunities to think about more stories to de***** me would be foolish on my part. Esp. after your sister division - insure - treating me unfairly to the point of *****ing my money!!

Brad, you must be very BOLD to write such a nonsensical message - no wonder it was received in my Junk mail folder! Of all the umpteen inconsistent reason which discovery failed to prove when asked this is the worst! From "you claimed more than you contributed, you claimed after withdrawal, you contributed a portion for hospital, you owe us R3458.97" (from the very first email), blah-blah-blah.... to "We can confirm that there is currently an amount of R 4 830.00 owed to the Scheme. The initial amount owed was R 6 480.00..." This is utter nonsense! I am glad I tried everything in my power to work with you to understand this so-called debt in an attempt to settle but over and over again discovery proved that this is an unfounded story - an attempt by a corporate to de***** a client! I rest my case, I will not entertain any further correspondence re this matter. Dear Mrs M.... Thank you for contacting us. Hello Peter Post We have tried calling you regarding your post on Hello Peter but we were unable to reach you. You have posted a complaint regarding the amount owed to the Scheme. We can confirm that there is currently an amount of R 4 830.00 owed to the Scheme. The initial amount owed was R 6 480.00. We have received payments dated from 14 May 2015 to 08 October 2016, that have reduced the amount owed. The amount owed is due to the withdrawal of the membership on 30 June 2014. The Medical Savings Account (MSA) of R 12 960.00 was allocated to the membership for the family on 01 January 2014. The MSA is advanced and is paid back as a portion of the monthly premium paid over the twelve months’ of the year. As you had only contributed six months’ worth of premiums, only half of the MSA allocation was paid back. The full allocation of MSA had already been used at the time of the withdrawal, thus the amount owed is due as an overspend of the MSA had occurred. We do apologise for the contradictory information you have received, as mentioned in your post. If you have any more questions, please call us on ***, email ********** or visit www.discovery.co.za Regards Brad Bold Discovery Health (Pty) Ltd On behalf of Discovery Health Medical Scheme
