What a *******, a member for 13 months and now a 12 months waiting period

I am literally over Discovery Health. I have actually been with them for many years and left once r twice due to job changes and medical aid offered by the company but I rejoined in Jan 2019 and have full solid cover. we removed my partner in Feb and paid for the full month even though he was notified he could not use the facility. he was supposed to join the school he is at Medical aid but is still on probation and now with schools close we decided to rather add him back.

so he has been a member for 13 full months, had just less than a month gap and with the re-join discovery have said he has to have a 12 months waiting period for blood pressure that he has had under control for years and Discovery even approved his pills as chronic in Jan 2020. This is double standards.

I am now told if I back date it to no cancellation and pay 2 months fee there will be no waiting period. I honestly wish we had a better government medical system so we did not have to pay our asses off on medical aid that never want to pay for anything.

I will be getting alternative cover for my entire family as Discovery have tried to rip me off for the last time now.
