We were **** to and now my boyfriends health is on the line.

My long term boyfriend of many years recently signed up to Discovery. He was told in the meeting that there is an agreement between his company and the medical aid. All 27 chronic conditions are IMMEDIATELY covered.

I work at the same company and was in a meeting with a DISCOVERY broker who told my entire group the exact same thing , ALL 27 chronic conditions are covered immediately. However now that my bf signed up he got a message stating his CONDITION which meets the regulations and is ONE OF THE 27 WILL NOT BE COVERED for AN ENTIRE YEAR.

If anything should happen to him and his health I WILL HOLD DISCOVERY RESPONSIBLE as WE WERE BOTH TOLD IN TWO SEPARATE MEETING that all 27 conditions will be covered. IT IS SERIOUS AND LIFE THREATENING and with his shifts he does not have access to gov services all the time. WHY HAVE A MEDICAL AID IF YOU NEED TO GO TO GOVERNMENT.

THIS IS VERY SERIOUS and it means that everybody else in the groups also will be affected. There are many people in the company with chronic conditions and I question if they were **** to as well?

You partner with BIG COMPANIES and provide those companies with BENEFITS for their staff one such benefit from my understanding is that the chronic conditions will be covered. HOW CAN YOU EXPECT SOMEONE TO WAIT A YEAR are you SICK, THE COMPANIES people with conditions choose are BASED ON THE CARE THE COMPANY PROVIDES.

YOU CANT DISCRIMINATE if someone has one of the 27 conditions BY LAW. Don't try use FINE PRINT ******* it won't work. PEOPLES LIVES ARE AT RISK........this will go further and further until a conclusion is reached.
