Such a Disappointment

Where to start:

i am with discovery for years, never missed a payment overall i was happy with what i paid for what i got, until recently... My wife started having pains in her arm, we too her to the doctor and they discovers she has a Tumor in hear heart and would need emergency surgery. Surgery was scheduled and done, n few days later we found out the tumor was not cancer but would have caused heart failure or death if we waited any longer.

couple of days later i get an invoice from the doctor we need to pay R28 282,20 to the doctor due to our PMB don't cover some of the surgery due to the tumor not being cancer.

now i don't understand, even thou the tumor was not cancer it was still going to cause heart failure or death because it was causing blockage in the heart. Without the surgery my wife would have died even if it was not cancer the tumor was life threatening.

Does Discovery health only pay for heart surgery if it is cancer and non other life threatening related illnesses.

i am sitting with the the pathologist letter in front of me that states :

PROCEDURE: REMOVAL FOR HEART TUMOR-CAUSING HEART BLOCK AND POSSIBLE HEART FAILURE AND DEATH.

Please Discovery tell me why am i paying you every month but you cant cover full surgery that saves my wife's life?

i need this to be explained to me.
