VERY DISSAPOINTED IN DISCOVERY HEALTH

# ***. My husband was diagnosed with Malignant melanoma cancer on his back in June 2015. The surgeon removed it in theatre. 3 Months later, my husband has, what the dr suspecs, another Malignant melanoma on the back of his ear, on the head, not the ear. Discovery refuse to give us authorization for hospital because they say the Dr can remove it in his consulting rooms. How can you remove a possible Malignant melanoma on a main vein in the consulting rooms? We were at our GP and he refused, we were referred to a surgeon and he also refused to do it in the consulting room because it is on the the big vain and he said he will not be able to keep the blood under control if my husband is not sedated. Now Discovery is telling us we must pay everything out of our day to day savings. Our savings is already depleted in February and why should we pay our of our day to day savings a hospital procedure?<br> This is a very urgent operation and my husband was removed from the Monday surgery list because the surgeon needs to phone or motivate why the possible Malignant melanoma must be removed under sedation and not in his consulting rooms. I am looking for a new medical AID ASAP!!
