Utterly poor service! Extremely high fees but still have to pay excess medical expenses!

Where do I start Discovery!? 1. 2022: My husband ends up in a car accident - a very serious medical emergency! The Doctors sends the billing late and we are PENALIZED with 30% we have to pay out of pocket!! 2. In 2023 he gets sick, and is admitted with toxic liver syndrome. The doctors tests CLEARLY indicates that he does not use alcohol, and that it is health supplement (USN) induced. Discovery refuses to pay his two weeks in hospital because they accuse us of hiding a liver disease! REALLY!? We have been with Discovery for 10 years (under different plans) but they have access to all of our records!!! After numerous report from the specialist, they eventually pay, 3. My daughter is diagnosed with a tactile dysfunction, which if not addressed, can progress into ADHD. She urgently needs treatment from an Occupational The******. We call Discovery to have this paid form the PMB. 1st Decline: insufficient information. We phone again and get the list of conditions. 2nd Decline: there needs to be a second code. We AGAIN phone, and the the****** gets the correct codes FROM Discovery. Form is sent through again. 3d Decline: WRONG CODES USED!!!??? After it was communicated by Discovery.

I pay half of my salary for our membership. The fees keep on rising, and our day to day SHRINKING. I am SO utterly gutted my your lack of customer service and care in the health industry. I will be laying an official complaint at the OMBUDS because what Discovery puts is through is more traumatic than the actual illness/accident which is suffered. ***
